Come Before Winter tracks two longtime foes of Adolf Hitler: iconic German pastor and theologian, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and virtuoso propagandist Sefton Delmer. The former, presumed to have played a role in the plot to assassinate Hitler, is being hauled by the Gestapo between prisons and concentration camps. For the latter, the first taste of success forces uncomfortable realities. Both yearn impatiently for an allied victory and grapple with the question, "Are we still of any use?"
